UK government putting together a plan to make unemployed young people join the army.

"Ms Kendall said in the House of Commons she “absolutely agrees’ with calls to ensure more young people join the armed forces, and she would be putting together a plan to make this happen. She added: “I will certainly be having more conversations with colleagues in the Ministry of Defence.”

I suspect this is one reason why they tightened the definitions of disability and made it harder, especially for young people, to claim disability. if they're declared fit and healthy they can be forced into the army ready for ww3.

  • : “tee-hee, I’m not hiring. Sorry!”

Now I get it. This whole arbitrary pickiness was the porks trying to choose my job for me? And I assume that’s the same case here in burgerland. Once again the ‘freedom’ under capitalism looks a lot like how they warned me about communism, down to the ruling class wanting to choose my job for me.

I think I’d rather try to return to monke before I ever become porky’s personal attack dog. What has that pig ever done for me?

    • I've been discussing this with a friend too, the realization that militaries are hiring at insane rates these days. Forced conscription is not legally possible in my country (yet), but our military is offering more jobs than any other possible employer. It's terrifying if you're looking for jobs and desperately just want to get one that keeps you afloat, and all you get is "military here, military there, please learn how to shoot a gun, we really need more people who can shoot a gun, oh look, we love women who shoot guns too!" It's making me sick.

  • Pro-tip:

when you go in to the recruiter, ask them when you get issued one of those revolvers that is strapped to your holster and belt. "the ones they use to shoot deserters and cowards in the trenches".

tell them that's the job you have the most passion for.
