Didn’t see it and it deserves to be named:
Shoot ‘Em Up
One reviewer called it “the closest thing to a live action Bugs Bunny movie we’ll ever get!”
What’s the difference between a BMW and a porcupine?
!you can do spoilers here!<
Does it not display correctly for you?
Letterkenny, lot of quotable dialog between the characters, unexpectedly witty considering the backdrop of a small Canadian hick town.
RiffTrax. Especially the Star Wars prequels and the Twilight trilogy.
I suppose the Minecraft Movie fits here.
Fully expecting flak for this, but Uwe Boll's Postal. It's a gross, idiotic movie with awful taste, and it's not so much that it hasn't aged well, it's more that it was made awful on purpose. that's also what makes it perfect for schlock movie night.
if you've played any of the Postal games, you know what to expect in terms of tone. if you haven't: GOOD. Don't.
I've seen Team America: World Police on a festival in The Netherlands in a big tent with everybody drinking beer and smoking weed. That type of film is made for that environment. Theres something about watching it with a big group of mellowed out festival goeers thats incomparable.
'Mat Damon' and 'Mohammed Jihad' had my wife in tears.
That puking scene man. Alone behing my tv I would've tuned out but in that setting...
Trailer Park Boys - para documentary comedy series showing life of people living in a trailer park
So dumb but sooo funny. I love that show.
The Tim Burton Batman movies. They’re hilariously bad, but make for a great time when you’re drunk with friends.
the Burton batmans are not only the best batman has ever been, they're the best Burton has ever been. i will fight people on this.
I've got your back.
Tim Burton gave us Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman.
You’ve got my bow…
Beavis and Butthead
Garth Marenghi's dark place, rifftrax/mst3k, Young Frankenstein, duck soup, Joe Bob's has a bunch of shlocky horror movies mixed in with classics they do intros and interrupts like the old public access/cable monster movies
Monster house
Kung Fury
Nudist Colony of the Dead is awful and fantastic at the same time. I love getting a friend to go into the movie blind.
The day I got my best bud fucking blazed out of his mind to watch it has to be one of my favorite experiences.
The Fast and the Furious series.
So dumb. So macho. So entertaining.
The Evil Dead trilogy.
A younger friend of mine had started playing the Evil Dead game with some of his friends but had never seen the movies. I'd not watched them in years, so I invited him over to marathon them one weekend. We drank, ate pizza and did the whole trilogy, and we had an absolute blast. He loved how different each movie was, especially Heart of Darkness. How each one gets sillier than the last.
A few months later, Evil Dead Rise came out in the cinema, so we had to go see it. While this was much more a straight up horror movie (with a small amount of the Evil Dead silliness), I still enjoyed it (I find horror movies quite funny, like an emotional rollercoaster), but he was hiding behind his coat the whole time, terrified of what was happening on screen. That made it even funnier for me.
I'll only list stuff I haven't seen others mention:
Billion Dollar Movie is quite the experience
The "Bill and Ted" trilogy.
I love Iron Sky for this. Nazis on the moon. It's satire all the way through. Such a goofy film but a lot of fun.
Hot Fuzz is plain stupid but so fun. So is Taxi Taxi, if you've never seen it.
Hot Fuzz is incredible. There isn't one wasted line in that script
hot fuzz is not plain stupid, it's advanced stupid. it's a dumb movie made by really intelligent people.
Tucker and Dale vs evil is a over the top gory comedy slasher and I loved it when I watched it as a teen. It may not have aged well though
Other fan favorites are zoolander and tropic thunder
Kung Pao Enter the Fist. Warning: you must be immature and somewhat comfortable with jokes that might not have aged well. I haven't watched it since I was a teen, but I remember thinking it was hilarious back then...
Maybe just stick with Space Balls and The Room.
Young Einstein
Super Troopers
Any one of these are both campy and thought provoking.
Kung fu hustle
Olympus Has Fallen
London Has Fallen
The plot is so ridiculous, its actually comedic.
If you haven't seen Angel has fallen - rectify this immediately. I'm fairly certain that Nolte just wandered on set wearing his own clothes and they were like, "Great! Let's shoot!"
You gotta check out the Neil Breen movies. Here's a trailer for one of his movies, Twisted Pair.
They're absolutely awful to watch alone and great to watch as a group. I still can't decide if he's self aware or not.
Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job
Monty Python stuff
Moonfall (2023), seen it several times with friends, highly recommended
Fuck me that movie was so stupid. I can’t believe I finished it (watching alone).
Beerfest is actually so bad it wraps around to being a 10. Love that movie 😂
Pimp my ride
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
cannibal: the musical
Big Man Japan is the one you want
Avenue 5 is pretty fun especially if you're a Dr. House fan.
Napoleon Dynamite
Movie 43. Thank me later
I found it 10-20% funny, 80%+ cringe
Back door sluts 9.
Lot of lore in that one
My top series for this is "Hi-sCool SeHa Girls", a 3D anime about three Sega game consoles who have been anthropomorphised into highschool girls. they go on adventures inside of lesser-known sega branded games, and the episodes are a mix of legitimately funny visual gags, good storytelling, bad storytelling, and both decent-quality cgi and extremely low-quality video editing. It's the most fever-dream-like show I've seen.
Yeah thats going on the list
I have to see this
Monster Hunter
The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
