Now that we know what "gooning" means, what's a "goon squad"?

Back in the old days, Goons were up there with Mooks & Rabble Rousers for top hench-people. They were employed to enact so-called "villainous" schemes, usually concocted by flamboyant persons known as a "villain" or "super-villain." A "Goon Squad" is you, and a group of your fellow goons. Typically attired in a kind of iconic jumpsuit style outfit.

Contemporary porn culture has really done a number on the hench-person business.

the goon squad were a bunch of chill dipshits that hung out in WoW and EVE online, just generally dicking about and annoying people who took things too seriously. i still exclusively play on rp-pvp servers, because those were the only places we used to play, so that we could annoy RPers and gank tryhards.

Something awful users called themselves that and they had an ss13 server by that name although originally it was street level enforcers for mobs that were called goons i guess. Link is not nsfw btw.
