That's a whole forearm. Did Thing grow?
- In the original series we often saw Thing's arm when it turned the pages on Lurch's music. It wasn't depicted as being cut off at the wrist until the movie.
  
  God I loved that show, kinda sad it got cancelled so early.
  
  Maybe their original intention was for thing to just be a hand, but they just didn’t have the technology/budget for it.

  So I've never done a deep dive but thing I would imagine, is the soul of the person surviving inside his hand. So thing is a full human trapped forever in a hand and that's terrifying
