Ideally my shower cap doesn't get wet either because if the seam of it against my skin gets too wet then the water might get into the cap and the things the humidity will do to the hair...
So on goes the cap, and then begins the calisthenics.
To be fair I usually need to do this because I just finished at the gym so light stretching while in the shower is not the worst idea anybody ever had anyway.
Its there, sometimes. Sometimes there is no shower caps, sometimes it appear after I have entered the shower. Sometimes it is because it is already on my head. Sometimes my cat found a new bed, so no shower caps
Sometimes there is a shower caps, a lot of times there is none
Okay quick question, my hair is about halfway down my back. I wash twice a week, but even on the days I don't wash, I still rinse and blow dry. Should I not be rinsing either on days that I don't wash? I didn't have long hair till I was 25, so I missed out on a lot of the tips and tricks.
Do what works for you! I’ve heard of people doing what you do or not using shampoo every time but using conditioner before rinsing. If it works for your hair, keep doing it but also don’t be afraid to experiment. I’ve had long hair my whole life, and I’m still trying stuff out!
I am sitting here at work, 3 hours after washing my hair, after blow drying it for 15 minutes, still waiting for it to dry and looking like a drowned rat. My hair isn't even long, about shoulder length now and layered, it's just thick and slow drying hair.
If it got wet every time I showered it would probably mildew, it would never have time to get completely dry.
While the comments about drying are true, there may be more reasons. Washing your hair is TERRIBLE for your scalp. This might not be a huge deal for some, but people who have a natural tendency to allergies and skin irritations suffer from shampoo. There's also that whole topic of washing your hair often actually makes your scalp produce more oil leading to dirtier hair and a vicious cycle of washing more and more often, but it's an entirely different discussion.
When you have very long hair or complex hairstyle washing it may take a long time. It doesn't make sense to spend 1.5h on washing your hair every time you take a 5 min shower.
I don't do a complete non-wash. But it makes a noticeable difference over time if once or twice a week you don't use soap. Soap washes off all the oils on your hair which causes your scalp to over-produce oil which can be unpleasant or bad.
