Follow up Tesla made it right ordered parts made repair in 2 business days and I love the truck itβs unbelievably good!
Great wagon, wood looks super cool, love the built-in scriptorium so I can illuminate manuscripts while I drive. It's just that you promised me a wagon that doth be a boat as well, that hath a wade mode m'lord. Tis but rain that defeated it and it shall rain again m'lord.
As someone who started driving at 26 and knows nothing about cars, I've installed every pair of wipers myself and they've all worked fine for at least a few thousand miles. Just like $10 ones from Walmart, maybe looking at the package when I try to remember how to do it. The very simple mechanism that swings back and forth hasn't had an issue in almost 60k mi because it's a technology we solved in the 18th century. I think I even bent it while fumbling my way through a wiper installation and it's just fine.
Add one more thing to the list of things which immediately threaten to kill cybertruck drivers and everyone around them.
The Cybertruck has one giant windshield wiper. Iirc the wiper is nonstandard because it has a tiny spoiler on it to stop it from flapping in the wind. This means it definitely isn't spontaneously available at your local Autozone, let alone Walmart.
Single wipers have not been uncommon for years now, it's not hard to make them work (unless you're noted genius entrepreneur Elon "Techno King" Musk lmao)
We need to define being so caught up in a sunk cost that you refuse to leave it despite all evidence, as a mental illness on par with extreme learning disabilities.
I know there's a non-disparagement clause along with the $50k penalty if they think you're selling it within the first year of ownership, but it bewilders me that they go so far beyond that. The product, mechanics, and customer service are all so bad that they have to grovel before @mlord's feet in the hopes that he personally gifts them the one working cyberwagon like Santa. These are prayers for a fucking beepboop truck.
There are only a few thousand people who have one rn iirc. Assuming 10,000-ish sales thats .0038% of the adult US population. The knowledge that only roughly .004% of the adult population is stupid enough and rich enough to buy that garbage brings me some catharsis.
