Why is there no hurricane Katrina truthers? You telling me that there was roving gangs of looters fighting police and army and nobody got arrested?
There’s so many stories of murders and criminal negligence and there’s no archive of it, the stories range from racist Fox News propaganda to genuine unreported instances of government murder. I want the truth, I want to know what happened in the astrodome, and I will get into arguments and fist fights with Boxing Day truthers because I’m actively commodifying a tragedy.
I swear that Citations Needed had an episode on all the Katrina bullshit but I can't find it.
But, basically, there are a fair number of Katrina truthers who have gone over all the bullshit exhaustively, gone over how Louisiana used Katrina to gentrify New Orleans, gone over all the Chris Kyle bullshit, gone over the cops shooting random people, all in detail, but it's all in the rear view mirror because it was so long ago. But it's out there. i swear either , Chapo, War Nerd, or TrueAnon did at least one deep dive on this. I'm pretty sure Chapo or Trueanon did a Chris Kyle episode, too.
it was the other way around actually, cops were going around wrangling any black person they found and either killing them or illegally arresting them and putting them in a concentration camp
I mean he was trying to help a fellow vet with PTSD was my understanding. Too bad both of them were too socially fucked to understand their government gave them psychological trauma for a WMD lie.
I vaguely remember that, although I might be conflating it with some nerd on the Something Awful forums posting about how he everyday carries a gun and knife for his job as a sysadmin or whatever.
There are no truthers because just like with the "roof Koreans", the image of hordes of minority "looters" during a natural disaster is too useful to question
