They are certainly trying to oust anyone who spoke out against them in the Democratic party with pro Israel candidates, like Wesley Bell over Cori Bush in Missouri.
That doode cannot come here and talk like he did and expect Americans to solve his problems with American money. He is going to learn some lessons from a potential Harris administration.
I keep hearing people say this but does anyone have a reason why they believe Harris will be tougher on Israel than Biden was? I haven't seen any sort of indication that she will other than a few words in a speech, despite Biden having been very soft on Israel.
The sad truth is that there are overriding geopolitical strategic interests behind the US support of Israel. The American executive power recognizes this, so military support is not going to go away as long as those interests are a concern.
They may pay some lip service to the whole genocide thing, but this is ultimately realpolitik. Human lives do not matter when they are not American.
I think the last thing holding the Democrats to Israel as a whole was the whole "Don't criticize Biden" environment we had going. Now that Harris is the candidate and she's relatively unscathed by the issue the entire tenor has changed in the Israel war posts on Lemmy.

Still, while Trump has not exactly turned on Israel, he has clearly soured somewhat on Netanyahu, who he is still angry at for congratulating Biden on his election victory in 2020.
These fucking people are children and they have power to do real shit and that is depressing.
With all of the threats facing us, the ruling elite have made it very clear that they are unwilling to do what needs to be done. We need to remove them from power using any means necessary.

Netanyahu cares about his own political survival and nothing else. He told the families of hostages that he’s waiting for poll numbers to negotiate the hostages’ release, then never even made a good faith effort to negotiate, regardless of the poll numbers.

Oh Hitler did that first. The entire reason he was doing lebensraum and "reclaiming" German territories was to steal money to keep the government functioning and build the German military. It's kind of wild. He probably could have told the world to stick their war reparations where the sun don't shine and managed some sort of functional government.
