I gave my PhD dissertation defense on Friday, so I am looking forward to not having anything specific to look forward to.
I haven't played a video game for any length of time since Elden Ring first came out, so I might play Shadow of the Erdtree. Or maybe BG3. Or maybe I will just do some dnd planning. I want to get some home repairs done, so some of that. Maybe just go chill with some friends. All the little things that I haven't had the time/energy/bandwidth to do for so long.
I want to enjoy not being consantly anxious about my research and not just be distracting myself from said anxiety, but to truly relax, just for a week or two before I move and have to start job hunting.
Me and the SO is going on a two day cruise, where 40 metal bands play. We even splurged on a fancy cabin with a queen size bed. Going to be so much fun!
My brother has been visiting - which is great, we don't see each other often, just once per year or two - but I can't wait to have my place back to myself this week. I love my brother but I am tired and need to just chill on my own without anyone else for like a day 😫
The release of D&D 2024. I am running a d&d game for a group of high school kids who have never played an RPG and this week we are going to convert their characters to 2024 rules.
An old, dear friend and his family are in town to drop off his daughter at graduate school. Reconnected with him back in April when I visited his side of the country. Looking forward to having them over and introducing them to my own family.
I made a post last week asking for advice for an interview. I will be starting this week so I am looking forward to starting this week. A little scared cause I'm sure they will make me do programming stuff and I'm not too good with that but hopefully I can be decent enough at it.
