Brian Thompson, the chief executive officer of UnitedHealth Group’s insurance division, was fatally shot in New York City Wednesday morning, the New York Police
I mean, capitalism preaches the necessity of winners and losers. The owners demand there be millions upon millions of losers so they can win largely enough to buy pet mega yachts for their primary mega yachts.
Guess he lost.
Welcome to the free market baby.
Oh I'm sorry, does that only apply to the innumerable members of our society dying of exposure and police capital defense force brutality in your local gutter for the crime of not generating enough value for the shareholders in the "wealthiest nation on Earth?"
Hope gun man gets away. Fuck the first article I read of how great he was and how touch the lives of so many. Just forgot to mention it was touching them by allowing people to die and suffer. I am with you fucking billionaires and rich CEO should be scared and shitting their pants.
The cops said he waited in the freezing cold in one spot for ten minutes before taking the shot and fleeing down an alley to a bike he had waiting. This was 100% premeditated.
In unrelated news, I have an erection that will probably last longer than 4 hours.
As I said on other posts about this: Remember that jury nullification exists. If you're on the jury for the shooter, or someone like him, you can just say not guilty and there's nothing they can do to you. The court can't tell you that you gave the "wrong" verdict.
Just don't tell them you're going to nullify, because they'll remove you from the jury.
It's more complicated than that unfortunately. They've kind of solved this issue during jury selection/questioning by asking some variation of "Do you have any beliefs that might prevent you from making a decision based strictly on the law and evidence?", if you answer no and later try to tell the rest of the jury about nullification you've just committed purjury and could definitely get in trouble for it, along with potentially causing a mistrial.
Of course you can simply try to persuade the rest of the jury to a not guilty verdict without mentioning it, but you're more likely to get a hung jury unless you're incredibly convincing and there would likely have to be at least some wriggle room with the evidence.
Keep reporting this post, libs. I'm getting a blowjob by a robot powered by angry libs reporting cool and based things about killing CEOs on the internet and I'm about to bust!
Libs claim to hate Donald Trump and what he stands for, but damn if they don't circle the wagons to protect the sociopathic, literally murderous greed machine that Trump's entire persona is basically a totem/mascot/cartoon of.
It's like they don't even know the theme of Trump's gameshow that endeared him to his nitwits.
Sorry neolibs, you cant separate out the greed from the racism and misogyny. The greed we're Inculturated to indulge and encourage is every bit as monstrous as racism and misogyny, it merely has a better marketing team.
Greed/racism/misogyny are all just flavors of elitist sentiment. "I'm a lot better than others, and thus deserve a lot more resources than others."
I offer Brian my most shallow of thoughts and prayers, and my heartfelt condolences to the families and individuals that have been brought to ruin by his unchecked greed and corruption.
Reports say he was worth $43 million. He was $957 million short of his first billion.
If he was a Mario enemy, he'd be that first goomba.
As big a bad guy as the CEO of a massive health insurance company is; as much harm as they impose on us all, they are just little fish, and we are plankton. It's the whales we need to be worried about.
