How can you tell 23 subgenres of equally shitty growls and screams apart, but not see the most Metal basics?

I've been attending metal shows my entire life and I don't think I've ever seen any transphobia. OP doesn't know metalheads

I don't know where this is coming from because I grew up in the era of Marilyn Manson, the Murderdolls and Dir En Grey (etc.) Where gender was some fluid shit and everybody vibed with it.
Even though I don't like them, I also remember Rammstein playing around with gender expression.
Overall, my personal experience with metal since teenhood in the 2000s is that metalheads are extremely chill and open minded and the bigots are some fringe groups here and there that nobody likes to talk to anyways.
Metal was about challenging the status quo and trigger the sensitive puritans who wanted everybody to conform one way of living and being. Most metaheads and metal artists were social rejects who didn't fit in and weren't accepted and they rebelled against the social structure at the time for that very reason. A couple of examples of the artistic expression in metal at the time:

Pretty sure Manson even brought on a trans icon in his video for The Dope Show which itself was a critique of the creative industry and how it uses and abuses people and forces them to be someone they aren't.

I'll never understand why this is a divisive issue... let people live however they want, unless they bother others. How does it bother me if someone wants do get rid of their dick? Stop interfering in people's lives.

  Well, that's the thing. So many people are bothered when someone does something they wouldn't personally do, often because they were told their whole life that there is only one proper way to exist.

Societal alienation makes for the best art and metal is no exception. Metalheads trying to exclude someone for being different (NSBM excepted) have completely missed the point of the entire genre.

  A lot of first wave and early norwegian black metal bands were essentially proto-NSBM. Nazis have been a part of black metal for as long as it's been around. For a long while black metal had a reputation for being full of fascists

- Yeah, some genres have a large segment of people who struggle to fit in with the mainstream. I'd like to think that they pick up something about social liberalism vs traditionalism from that, but there's apparently also a significant segment who want as strict traditions as the mainstream, they just want somewhat different traditions.

- Reason for deleting my comment: not interested in 'discussing' anything with people who go "men and women the same" when there's literally stats and figures that prove otherwise and the growing ideological divide between men and women is a real concern. If I had to bring up those facts, one of these snowflakes would just report my comments for 'hate' or something. Because that's how these people prefer to do it.
