I end up not commenting because I try to proofread and while doing it I notice I don't care enough about whatever or my comment doesn't really matter and just cancel de comment.
I do that a lot when Im about to make a dumb joke reply. Halfway through correcting all the mistakes I thankfully realized it's just not worth it.

Don't know, I had some good and productive discussion here.
Yeah, and don't get me wrong, the majority of users I have engaged with here have been lovely. But occasionally you'll get the post with hundreds of upvotes, with maybe one downvote, but the comment section makes it feel like they're trying to set the place on fire.
It probably has more to do with the fact that there are far less of us than redditors, and comments are weighted differently from reddit.
