It takes five minutes to switch browsers, and the difference is so little that you'll often forget you did it.

- Mechanical keyboard and mouse recommendations?
Looking for a matching set (brand/aesthetic wise) of a mechanical keyboard and mouse for gaming that:
-
Isn't super tacky or coated in branding
-
Has a detachable usb c cable (sick of mini-usb and I will never be okay with a fixed cable on a keyboard)
-
Has build quality that's actually halfway decent
-
Isn't ludicrously expensive
-
Is compatible with something like Artemis RGB or Aurora RGB for aRGB game integration (my little crow brain likes when the blinky gamer lights change colors when I reload and stuff in games)
I don't know if I'm just bad at researching this sort of thing but it really seems like all the options out there only meet one or two of these requirements at best. Is this just the state of the market when it comes to these things? Do I need to build a custom keyboard?

- Community mesh networking
Do any of you have experience with community mesh networking? It seems like a fun time and a good way to connect with people (socially and technically lol) in the community. Not to mention the possibility of providing at least limited internet access to people who can't access it by conventional means for whatever reason. A community mesh network might also have organizing possibilities - especially because the state or the cops or a company can't just shut it off or look inside it as easily

- I'm planning on finally getting a Gaming PC but I mainly have two questions
After having a good talk with a few folks, I've decided to buy a gaming PC and build it myself. I have everything I need, including all of the necessary equipment and accessories. I don't want to buy anything from NVIDIA because of some of its controversial decisions, its drivers' poor performance on Linux, and its high price. I'm going full red (AMD). Keep in mind that I will not be using Windows on this PC at all and will be running Pop OS on it as my primary operating system. I am also buying all the parts from Bestbuy. My budget is not to go completely over $2000
Two questions
- Will everything work properly with all of the PC accessories I'm getting, and is there anything I should replace? (not including the CPU or GPU)
- Do you think it will be enough with three fans, or do I need five for extra cooling?
Everything is linked here: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Crafted_104/saved/XcZCrH
The current price for everything is $1716.78

- Has anyone else had to deal with joining multiple Facebook pages under the same business account?
I'm working with a business to sort out all their Facebook and Instagram pages, and try get them all grouped under one Business account.
They're a musical instrument importer who have a bunch of pages that have been created by different people over the years and they've had trouble migrating them all into once place where they can see everything.
They have access to all the pages and Instagram profiles, but some are through a company profile they created, some through the personal profile of a guy that works there, and some other loose accounts.
They've sent requests from the controlling profiles to the account they want to have access to all the page, but the requests are sitting pending in the blackhole of Meta's backend.
They've sent requests, tried to get in touch with support, and even sent over documents proving the existence of the business to Facebook, but nothing happens.
All the help articles that are the first results wherever you search aren't useful either. They don't reflect the messy nature of Facebook tinkering with everything and the reality of trying to share access to pages that have existed since 2007.
I'd love to hear if you've had any experience with this. If I can get this sorted out it should mean more work for me down the line with them.

- How to temporarily increase webserver storage by 1-2 TB?
Your answer could potentially help me un-fuck my website!

Edit: The total capacity is currently 160 GB, so no amount of pruning will free up 1 TB. I need to mount an external share or something.

Edit2: I'm trying this but the command isn't working despite zero exit status.

I heard Huawei's HarmonyOS is planning to drop support for Android compatibility and currently doesn't have a lot of native apps. What SDKs support it, and what tools do you need to test for it? I'm especially interested in whether any of the big game engines like Unity or GameMaker can be coaxed into working on Harmony. Please share any information you have!

TL;DW: Apple Intelligence is Apple training their models locally on your personal Apple product data (aka anything you do on an iPhone, Mac, iPad or your Apple ID) using their Apple Silicon chips as well as building a Apple Siri voice assistant client for OpenAI's ChatGPT. The features seem gatekept to newer Apple products and they claim it's opt-in.
It looks like "AI" is here to stay as capitalists have placed it in most supply chains and industries. Goes without saying, but don't buy Apple, you're just buying yourself a one-way trip to a digital jail where the walls are made out of "seamless apple ecosystem" and "shiny metal devices that are cold to the touch."
Especially don't buy anything from the Apple Store because that's trashy Global North treat brain behavior.

Twitter's cofounder Jack Dorsey personally gave $245,000 in crypto to a developer who's a follower and student of a well-known Brazilian fascist.
>"We don't know who the leader is, it's like this anonymous Brazilian," Dorsey said. > >That anonymous Brazilian is Giovanni Torres Parra, a developer who has also built at least two webpages devoted to disseminating the work of the far-right conspiracy theorist Olavo de Carvalho. Before he died in 2022 after contracting COVID-19, de Carvalho — known as Olavo — praised Brazil's military dictatorship, claimed that Pepsi-Cola was flavored with stem cells of aborted fetuses, preached that tolerance for homosexuality was "incompatible" with democracy, and had an office in Virginia decorated with portraits of Confederate generals.

- Linux torrent client for SBC?
I have an Odroid N2+ running dietpi and I am wondering which torrent client people use in similar setups.
I have been mostly using transmission my whole life and it works fine but it happens often that the service becomes unresponsive. So I have been looking into alternatives. Trying out qbittorrent now and while it works fine the CPU usage seems too high. Only two active torrents right now and htop reports 60% CPU usage.
Other options available are deluge amd rtorrent so going to look into them later.

- Need input on dual booting Windows and Linux from people who are dual booting Windows and Linux
I'm planning on adding a dual-booting section to my guide on how to install Linux and I need some input from people who are dual booting Windows and Linux:
-
How did you allocate the partition for Linux? Did you use Disk Management from Windows or did you allocate the partition as part of the installation process?
-
How do you share data between the two partitions? Do you create a third partition that both OS partitions have access to? Do you use external drives/flash drives? Or do you just have no need to share data between the two drives?

- Google Photos Alternative
I believe that everyone is already aware of Google's tracking records as one of the most privacy-invading company of all time, given their terrible privacy policy, business choices, and ongoing user tracking. However, Google does have certain products that are pretty good, like Google Photos app is one of its better ones. I can see why people would use it It's quick, packed with incredible features, and makes finding photos simple.
However, it is awful for privacy given Google's track history. Recently, though, I found a upon a fantastic alternative called Ente. With real privacy and it doesn't steal your data, it offers nearly all of the features of Google Photos. It is open source, features easy sharing, end-to-end encryption, and allows you to view, organize, and download your data in its original quality across all of its platforms with consistency.
Unfortunately, if you are someone who frequently takes images and has pictures of years and years worth of stuff, you may have to pay for more storage, although the costs are not too high. To minimize space while using Ente, I would consider copying a bunch of images to an external hard drive or SSD. You can also delete unnecessary old screenshots or photos that you don't want to keep saved in your memories to save up storage.

Maybe one of you hogs knows what's up.
I got a new IP address for my VPS and updated the DNS A record accordingly. That was two days ago and I still get an "unable to connect" error when trying to access TankieTube through protonVPN.
However, if I drop the VPN everything works. This is the case with both Firefox and Chrome.
Does this have to do with DNS propagation?
