Nothing too fancy, we just talk about our hobbies.
Me? I like baking, nothing feels quite like making something delicious for family members on thanksgiving. If I could learn any skill, it would be enough about tech, coding, art, and music to make games. But I am particularly interested in making video game music.
Ideally? Reading history, camping, record collecting, guns. I've been wanting to start going to the gym, and learn how to ride horses from my in-laws who have a few and have offered to teach me.
In actuality? Not a whole lot. Depression and untreated ADHD make it difficult for me to do much of anything beyond doom scrolling and making myself fat with junk food. I have a hard time focusing on my reading, particularly when it comes to theory, which I desperately want to read more of. And I haven't been able to make myself go out camping in a while.
I feel like I'm getting stuck in a rut, like my body and mind are at cross purposes and the latter can't compel the former anymore. I'm not really sure what to do about it, but I don't really like myself right now, that much I am sure of.
I'm getting back into bike riding, it feels awesome to propel myself so quickly without an engine, and the place I live in is relatively bike-friendly, for the USA at least.
art. but mostly digital art these days because i vibe with it better and have a really unhealthy obsessive relationship with ctrl-z, so dont worry, i'm still getting my daily 16 hours of screentime!
I like reading, shooting my slingshot, hanging out with the goats, sometimes I play the low whistle. I can't think of anything other than that right now.
Tabletop wargames. Currently just 40k. Played different games over the years. Planning to maybe play some other systems down the road like Infinity or Conquest.
Remote control robot combat. Like Battlebots or Robot Wars, but much smaller. 1lb and 3lb weight classes currently, but looking to expand when I have the time and money.
