Not this one, no. The most recent passed one i was directly in the path of totality, or whatever they call it. Just stepped out the front door and watched.
I think it's the closest a total eclipse is coming to Philly for while, I knew someone who went down south in 2017 (the one Trump looked directly at).
I assume articles about the upcoming one all mention it, but if you're in North America there won't be another for more than 20 years, and it's even further from the great NE metropolis. But if you (and the ocean) can hold out til 2079 you can catch it in NYC
Upstate New York is buzzing with excitement about the eclipse. Rochester police are worried about traffic congestion from all the folks visiting. The DEC rangers are concerned people are gonna get hurt trying to hike up mountain tops.
Yeah I'm going to Syracuse. It's just within the path of totality and it's a lot closer to me than Buffalo or Rochester. Hoping it wont be as insane there, but we'll see. I might even just find some random small town in the area. As long as I can get a clear view.
Yeah, we saw the last one in South Carolina, and it's definitely worth doing again now that our kids are old enough to remember it.
The Women's Final Four is in Cleveland on the 5th and 7th, so we're staying in Ohio and will try to get some tickets to the games if our team makes it. If they don't... guess we're finding out what there is to do in the Cleveland area other than the zoo
I’m at 99% unfortunately but should still be cool to see. Totality is on another level but a 6 hour drive away, it’s not really possible to make it work
