- Too late, they are already asking for people to make forks of lemmy (which would fuck up federation if you delay updates like it happen to us) or just rewriting all of Lemmy code from rust to java and having everyone move there (they wont)

  The liberal forks don't last when lib developers realise there is nothing in it for them except a lifetime of developing it.
  
  The liberal forks eventually corporatise in a way that makes them fundamentally incompatible with the original goal of Lemmy which was to escape corporate control of social media.
  
  The forks continue and it works out fine achieving the original goal.
  
  If 1 or 2 happens, then the issue comes back to communists again.

- Mods have an option to "remove user content" when community or site banning which removes all the posts of comments but doesn't create a modlog entry. It is a bug that is being fixed (I think in 0.19.4) ironically a lemmy.world/c/politics mod did it for someone who posted too many Biden bad stories and no one is claiming lemmy.world mods are editing the database

  I love how they get huffy about getting chain-banned from 20 communities (that have similar mod staffs) when they're caught either being chauvinist, racist, or genocidal. Like, a mod's not allowed to watch you transgress then think "yeah I don't want you in any community I have purview over"? This is funny. I am subbed to a bunch of .ml comms and frequently see weird anticommunist shit. Just like a week ago or something I saw this thread on linux@lemmy.ml. I don't remember the specifics but the comments were complaining about how the devs are tankies and support mass murderers like lenin. And went on to equate the devs to some gross people. I did comment but deleted later cause I didn't want to argue with these annoying people. Shit there was some dumb meme post about tiananmen square and how heckin brave freedumb to post it.

The users on .ml do whine about tankies and whatever. And these other instances want to do the same thing but pretend that .ml is filled with tankies not similar crybabies. Like jesus do they have anything else going on than bravely proclaiming to avoid tankies.

I'm contemplating writing an effort post about the casus bellum for the Feddit user to wage war against .ml, which is a removed comment that was just a link to an Imgur album posted by a repost bot scraped from allthatsinteresting.com, a BuzzFeed clone. But they're not federated with Hexbear and liberals can't read, so...

Hint: one of the first paragraphs of the Imgur album claims 10,000 people died in Tianmen square, higher than even the US government's official figures by 9,100. The entire connotated album is unsourced.

God, the more I wardrive that asinine fuckin thread (they are not worth making a lemmy.ml alt to go kick in the teeth by my reckoning), the more it stands out to me how absolutely puerile, idealistic, and frankly, utterly unreliable the western "left" is. These crackers have the WORST martyrdom fetish I've ever seen; and as usual, they harp on about "oh wahhhhh, China has billionaires, they're no AES, they're catering to the capitalists" when last I knew, the only people to catch death sentences in China have been... Absolutely cashed-up capitalists who got caught on some Amerikan-style skullduggery.

Part of me is convinced the only reason they want China to immediately liquidate all their billionaires, all their capitalists, or at least, as many as could be done away with before capital flight spooked the rest of 'em to the four corners of the world, is so that China's project could collapse in on itself. For right now, capital is the game that must be played until the entirety of the Settler Empire, from Amerika to Australia, falls in on itself-- and they either don't realize that, or refuse to see that. To them, if China collapses, they can go right on back to martyrishly (and insincerely) wringing their hands about "ohhhhh, no real AES exists, ohhhhh, wahhhhh" the whole time secure in the fact that the treat dispenser that the white capitalists grease in the blood of the dead stays running.
