For this Wednesday Super Slop Night, first up is Sick of Myself (2022), a Norwegian black comedy about a young woman who becomes jealous to an obsessive degree when her boyfriend starts becoming a successful artist. She goes on a campaign of outrageous antics in an attempt to make the spotlight shine on her instead, reinventing her life completely and pulling dangerous and drug-addled stunts along the way. This is the best-reviewed work to date of Norwegian director Kristoffer Borgli, who is otherwise best-known for Dream Scenario (2023), which we have not yet watched.

Next is Scream 6 (2023), the most recent entry to date in the meta-slasher horror series. The stars from Scream 5 (2022) return as, surprise surprise, another Ghostface is on the prowl, once again using the events of the previous movies as the model for his rampage. Director duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett also return from the previous film, since series creator Wes Craven died in 2015. This is supposed to be one of the better Screams, so let’s check it out.
