Bring back the version of Germany where every single outlined municipality was ruled by their own haemophiliac grand baron shaped like a snowman and they all made a living by shaving the precious metals off of each others' coins. Have the pope pick the one with the most impressive gout as the new emperor of the EU and make Ursula von der Leyen wait by their toilet around the clock to push the flush button when they are done, which is now the highest attainable office in the EU for someone with no Habsburg blood.
I would go even further. The southern half of so-called "actual Spanish territory" is actually Andalusian territory. As for "actual Germany", there is no such thing, or if there is it's just Franconia, as Swabia and the Rhineland have their own distinct cultures. And "actual France" should not include Burgundy or Gascony. And East Germany should be its own thing again, this time permanently...because reunited Germany has been a disaster.
Italy is a fake country, and I say that as an Italian. Any hopes of cultural unification were squandered by the refusal of the Northern elites to implement Land Reform in the South after unification.
confused by stupid dialects?
tired of having to travel hours to get somewhere in your own country?
dont want to needlessly remember this many county capitals?
dont give a shit about baranya county?
Not really, but I figured the 3 most populous (and probably, considerably diverse) cities may as well get international city status. Also, the fact it makes England's borders ugly is a plus.
Lower Saxony & "Actual German Territory" - looks like we could easily fit 1,495 more states in there
Why just Sorbia? Bring back Greater Pomerania you cowards.
There should be a Rhinelander state between France and Germany
Granada/Andalusian state in southern "Spain"
Independance for Balearic
Why is there only one Sicily? We could at least get a second Sicily, maybe three with modern technology.
If you are taking part of Germany to make North Frisia might as well balkanize Denmark and Lowlands as well for East/West Frisia; then Balkanize Frisia even further into its 10 constituent subdivisions.
Yeah, my take on the French version is that actually the Paris region, surrounding departments and Normandy will be actual French territory while the great North (especially Picardie) and East (Alsace - Lorraine) will separate since they still have a bit of their own culture and language
