American automakers and auto workers are the best in the world. The iconic Big Three and American auto workers are leading the world in quality and innovation. A dynamic auto industry is vital to the U.S. economy. China is determined to dominate the future of the auto market, including by using unfa...
i love the conflation between workers and owners/management in those first two sentences.
the banning of the grey market / the mile high wall around the US auto market and the rolling destruction of pedestrian and public transit infrastructure are the only thing keeping the big three alive.
if kei-trucks and trains were here, the big 3 would fold in a single quarter.
I have yet to see a lib be able to explain why China harvesting data is worse than US corporations doing it (for US citizens). Like, even if you assume the evil see see pee even cares, what are they gonna do with my information about driving habits. But Google and Facebook don’t even make a fuss with sharing your info with those can actually use that data to harm you.
Really incredible how the Plan™ for climate change is to pray that the Market™ causes rapid uptake of green technology made extremely cheap by Chinese socialism, but the American capitalists are going to mess up even this terrible plan because they'd rather boycott China.
That's because it's always been about the Plan BTM, which is to continue to build bunkers for whichever failchildren end up holding the bag when capital-friendly climate solutions prove themselves to have been insufficient.
Wait something is weird, in Poland, i heard for years that the cars don't pollute much (as the number of cars grown rapidly to the point there are a lot of places where there are more cars than people), but suddenly electric cars are THE green way, especially in a country where 85% of energy comes from the fossils.
Thanks to capitalism, I get to choose what kind of product to buy. The manufacturers have to make me the best car that I want, just for me. And if I don't like the car, I can choose to buy a different one. I love the choices I get under capitalism to buy cars from where I want
I suspect what will end up happening is similar to what the BYD bus plant in CA does. That is, manufacturing being done in China and assembly being done in the US (or possibly Mexico).
