welp everyone at least we have this little forum. be ironic if hexbear becomes like a BBS of old and we are just sharing links to the last few trustworthy sources of information on the planet.
That's where Lemmy really seems like the next stage of social media. I don't want a corporation running things or gamification or liberal censorship, just the same kind of forum I had in 2003 with the addition of networking. This is about as positive as social media gets as a technology and it's such a better experience than legacy platforms.
god i miss the old BBS days.. back when you could actually meet the people you talked to because they were all local.... at least the BBS' i used because I was a kid and my parents would have murdered me if i tried to make a long distance call
Oh don't worry they'll still have nurses doing the direct care, how else are they gonna throw people under the bus? Can't exactly sue a robot or charge it for manslaughter now can you...
