- If you actually read the statement they pointedly never condemned Luigi but instead explicitly condemned United Health.
  They did try to spin this into a revival of m4a when its clearly dead. At this point GameStop style shenanigans would be more effective than phone banking.

It would have been better if they had just not said anything. Or if they had to still say anything, they could have focused on how this could be a point of building solidarity. Even right-wing working class people are in agreement on how fucked for-profit healthcare is for all of us. But no, they chose to take the same general path as the capitalist propaganda outlets.   Their stance re: Luigi is that he's a reactionary actor and shouldn't be lionised, which is markedly different from the statement offered here, which also condemns the action and not just the person.

I was paying dues to cpusa a while ago but I stopped after hearing their opinion on Israel.
They are a deeply unserious org.

the fact that the kill caused insurance companies to take back reduced anesthesia access if a surgery goes long will save dozens of thousands of lives alone. medicare for all alone would not have accomplished that. (we still should very much have it.)
