It’s a pretty awful term mainly because there are absolutely instances of humans shields. Ukraine uses its citizens as human shields, Gaza is different in my mind though because the area is so small how could you do ANYTHING there to free yourself from oppression without inviting civilian casualties?

The song is pretty far removed from reason and they conflate a lot of unrelated stuff, but there are some issues that they rightfully address: people who openly show their Jewishness in Europe are risking being attacked. Attacking someone who wears a Kippa or torching synagogues is not critiquing Israel but it does happen and perpetrators justify it with pro Palestinian stances.
i'm not saying it doesn't happen but it's massively over exaggerated by the media, and the inverse islamophobia that's more prevalent and structural throughout society gets ignored.
