my 74 year old dad watching MSNBC at full volume while also watching Facebook videos with laugh tracks on his phone also at full volume

He wont even mute the tv during commercials, just two of the most obnoxious sounds imaginable competing to be louder. I got him some decent wireless headphones for Christmas last year and he still does this every day

Millenials having to live with our boomer parents into our late 20's and beyond should be considered some sort of psychological torture

My dad can't put his smart phone down even when watching a movie. He also flips channels constantly. We've basically concluded that if ADHD is hereditary I got it from him.

crazy how I'm here halfway across the world from you and I have the exact same experience, only replacing MSNBC with my local news channels and Facebook with Whatsapp

Our generation will be way worse as old ppl. Pretty sure I wrecked my eardrums at 16 with my iPod earbuds. If I make it to 74, I'll be blasting shitty, annoying podcasts at 100-plus volume.
