Friend showed me Manor Lords and I played a bit of it. It's incredibly alpha, 2/3 of the tech tree is coming soon, but it could be the base of something really interesting.
Played some From the Depths, wonderful game. Making a hovercraft with 2 huge railguns and some active defenses. It's really fun watching your defensive turrets evaporate incoming missiles, and your interceptor small missiles cleaning up stragglers.
I'm playing Tale of Two Wastelands, a conversion mod that glues FO3 and FNV together and changes some stuff up. I installed a ton of mods on top so it's a smooth experience and everything flows much better. Between looting on hover, removing VATS in favor of bullet time, and removing weights from all items (sorry Bethesda fans but I hate inventory management), the experience is more continuous and immersive. Getting a lot of nostalgia from the Capital Wasteland since I haven't played FO3 since it came out like... 10 years ago? Yeah we'll go with that. Don't correct me I don't wanna know
This is my first ever week on an adderall prescription and I found out the hard way how dangerous it is to mix with video games
Oh and I feel like this image added by a perk mod would make a good emoji with some editing and repositioning
Two correct opinions, carry weight and vats are both bad. My own preferred solutions are player.modav carryweight <arbitrarily large number> and just never using vats but bullet time mod sounds interesting.
Do everything in the first guide. For the second guide, I would do everything in the Extra Utilities & Fixes and Optimization sections, and then you can pick and choose from the rest. I ended up installing everything but Overhauls. I also installed STARS (armor rehaul mod) which was part of the main guide a couple days ago but has been moved down to the appendix.
My brother bought me Super Mario RPG for Christmas but I haven't actually played it until I started my vacation in Seattle. It's fun. Glad I brought my Switch for winding down before bed.
Modded Terraria is so fucking good oh my god. I'm trying to work but my brain is busy thinking about accessory crafting trees and the bosses I still haven't beaten.
I'm not even in hard mode yet and I still got like seven bosses to go
Warhammer 3 Total War. Ive never liked the empire, but I'm trying out the metal-caster Gelt for the first time since he's been moved to Cathay. Super fun campaign mechanics, all focused on wizards and spellcasting. I've allied with both Maio Ying and Zhao Ming, and my roaming wizard deathstack has successfully secured the entirety of the East between the 3 of us, leaving in my wake scores of emulsified ratmen and liquified slaver elves.
I'm giving Karl a try since they reworked the Empire mechanics. Its... OK? It feels like the empire doesn't immediately crumble to every threat, but it is a slog economically to confederate while endlessly rescuing hapless Elector Counts. Also Empire units are a bunch of soggy noodles, especially their cavalry. I do appreciate that prestige actually has a use now, so he has that going for it.
Playing Final Fantasy Origins for the psx. Been on another FF kick. I already beat I way back on the GBA when it first released but never did on the playstation. It's a great remake with a bunch of QOL features. I plan on playing the Dragon Quest remakes for the super famicom too.
I'm getting addicted to Baldur's Gate 3, playing my own game and one with my friend. Ended up going with a Dragonborn Rouge for mine, and a Tiefling Paladin with my friend. It's fun, highly reccomend!
I think it's about time I finally tackle Zelda. My BFF is a huge Zelda and Metroid fan and I had shared the Majora's Mask recomp with him, which got me to check it out and play a bit. Now I've decided to finally give the series an honest try. I'm focusing on OoT right now but will probably pick up one of the 2d ones here in a few weeks when I go on vacation to finally give my retro handleld some love.
We are also trying to sell me on playing Metroid and I've tried it a few times in the past but we'll see where it goes.
Grim Dawn, it’s like if Diablo was good. Also checking out the warhammer mmo from my youth, which has the hardest main menu theme https://youtu.be/i_rstI_iym0
Just got on to Risk Of Rain 2. 3rd person shooter rogue like with meta progression. Still brutally difficult but less so than the first one. Quite free with loot and finding insane synergies is incredibly satisfying. Mechanics are somewhat opaque making a trip to the wiki necessary to get the most out of it, but I'm having a lot of fun.
Played some Vicky 3 as well! Picked it up on the sale after playing a pirated copy around launch. Somehow they seem to have made the interface worse! Also I'm really noticing that it doesn't seem to be made for 1080 monitors, which is annoying because I have to shrink all the UI elements manually. Playing as France, managed to get Homesteading REAL early meaning the Landowners were marginalized in 1840, which enabled me to go for Presidential Republic also very early. Had to fight one small civil war, but it all worked out and the king is fucking DED folks.
Played some more Monster Hunter: Rise, finally made it to the DLC but haven't really started it beyond the opening since my friend doesn't have it yet. Narwa kinda sucked but is still a better fight than any of the Rampages. More than anything I'm just shocked the base game still isn't over, and that Narwa was the 3rd fakeout.
Lost my monthly Warhammer game, which came down to a single 2/6 die roll I did at least get to meme my opponent's land raider by killing it in melee with guard infantry.
Finally picked up Signalis, been enjoying it alot but I'm finding inventory management to be pretty tedious in it, even with updated inventory. I can't imagine how worse it was on release, only having six slots and having the flashlight take up one those slots.
