That’s not irony. These people are chilling in lofts in the big city, eating brunch, socializing at some club or party while getting paid by Peter Thiel and a bunch of simps. These are their unfiltered opinions.
Hey, they didn't completely get rid of leaded gasoline until the 90's (and even now small engine propeller airplanes use leaded gasoline as AvGas), so we've got lead poisoning too!
Weird that of the people Adam Friedland has history with the one who does racist impersonations and almost says slurs as a bit is like the least problematic one
Dasha is so unbelievably depressing. You can see that the judgement she inflicts on everyone else she also inflicts on herself. So much of what I see from her is just a "I'm not unattractive, right? I'm attractive, so I'm a worthy person. God, if I were unattractive, I would hate myself. I'm not unattractive, right?" Over and over again in
perpetuity, no room for anything else. Her whole twitter is like this, she's fixated.
I want to ban people like this from fiction for life. They should only be allowed to read historical textbooks, no movies, no tv shows, no magazines with celebrities on the cover, nothing. The only way to cure their terminal fiction-brain where protests have to be like in the movies.
Protests are a material display of force and organization. It is saying "so and so many people are willing to show up and risk life and limb for a cause, despite the certainty of brutal repression by state security forces," with the implication that further escalation can happen if their demands aren't met.

in other words, it’s about perception. That’s not a bad thing, but people seems to be wrapped up and taking personal offense to “perception” lol. If protests weren’t seen as a threat and/or not a material threat, then no one would care or even participate.
Even smaller protests like a woman standing on a street with a sign over her lost daughter being ignored by the police is still about perception. There is a message to be sent and seen. We all hope that something changes, but without an overwhelming amount of force then you have to pivot to hoping the message is enough.
